the alarm is pretty low even in outdoor profile. how can i set the alarm really loud? im pretty new to s60 devices.

the alarm starts very low and gets louder and louder over 15 seconds or so. so i imagine you are just hearing the low volume in the beginning, and not allowing it sufficient time to reach up to its full loud volume.
either way, in settings you will find all the warning tones and ringing tones settings and volumes.
