Hey there, I own a Nokia N73 which I got test point unlocked and debranded earlier this year after finishing a contract with the "Three" network. I was just wondering if it would be safe to update the firmware on the device using the NSU or will I loose the unlock as a result? Sorry for the newbie quesiton but I was just curious.

Nope you won't... I've done the same thing to my Nokia N73 wich was branded with 3... Just changed the product code and updated with NSU.
