The facebook app went tits up on me so I uninstalled it, anyone know where I can download it from the ovi store doesn't seem to have it.
Also when will Nokia employ some decent coders that can make PC software that isn't buggy as shite:icon13:

I don't know that it's available anywhere as a stand-alone installation file. Could try reinstalling the firmware and hopefully that will put it back.
It is availiable for the 5800 but not on the n97 in the ovi store.
errr... WTH.
I'm in same boat, except I uninstalled it to remove it from Main Memory and intended to move it to the mass memory....
but, denied!

My Facebook problem is a little different....
The Home Screen only shows "Loading content", but the Facebook application itself runs fine in fullscreen (started from Menu->Applications->Facebook).
It used to work but yesterday the Facebook Home Screen widget and the Accuweather widget both decided to show "Loading content" and have gotten stuck there.
Rebooting the N97 didn't restore them either.
The Accuweather applet runs okay in fullscreen too, it's just the Home Screen widgets that seems to be the problem.
I get this too, but it's normally fixed after going into the application, and then out again.
Facebook and Accuweather widgets are "locked" in "Loading content" displays and do not respond to tap requests in the Home screen.
Loading them from the Menu->Applications they run okay, but on Exit they still fail to update the Home screen.
First install this: (5800 Facebook with the widget+API Bridge). Only API Bridge is needed.http://rapidshare.de/files/47650012/facebook_installer.sisx.html
After that, replace the 5800 Facebook with N97 Facebook.

Yes I've experienced this problem a few times.
Sometimes running them from the Apps menu and then exiting does help but that's touch and go.
Has this anything to do with the Network provider or is it a glitch in the phone.
My works most of the time but I have not managed to upload any photos yet with the applet.
I always get "script error" after it has tried to upload a photo.
It's so annoying - I went out earlier and the App would only connect to my WIFI and of course, I didn't have my WIFI with me!
Eventually had to re-start the phone and got it working but was then confronted with those script errors too 😡
A follow-up note...
While trouble-shooting issues with the loss of functionality of the RSS Feeder reader in the Web applet, it appears that the problem of losing Live Widget funtionality is related.
I tried to load the AP applet and it too gets stuck in the "Loading content" limbo.
Those of you who are experiencing this and other lock-ups, did this start after adding two or more RSS feeds?
