Applets playing "musical" folders

I don't know about anyone else, but having a l-o-n-g list of applets displayed when you select Menu->Applications is not the most efficient way to find the desired program.

So....trying to organize my applets as I did on my Nokia 9300, I created folders at the Root Folder level and started moving items into folders.

These were:

News: containing AP News, Bloomberg and Slideshow
Media: containing Music, Photos, Photo Browser, Videos & TV
eCommerce: containing Ovi Store, Amazon, InHand
Maps: containing Maps, Location, Google Maps
Internet: containing Web, Boingo, Opera Mini

Funny thing though...the next day, some applications decide to leave the folder that I put them in and go back to the Applications folder?!?

Before I started creating folders, I had noticed that some applications would rearrange themselves in the Applications folder (i.e. not in the same order all the time).

Anyone else notice things like this?

i also create my own folders in the root of the menu but iv not had any probs with apps going back into the applications folder etc

Not necessarily after a reset.

Why have an Organize feature in the Applications menu if things re-organize themselves?

In my case Brain Challenge and Guitar Rock Tour seem determined to escape from the Games folder that I want them in back to the Applications folder, for no apparent reason 😞
