Great Dan. Thanks for the sacrifice. We are going to have a lot of interesting activities in the ideas marketplace. See you at the event. // Lee
I just have this horrible/fantastic.scary vision of a big sofa and a live recording of the All About Symbian Insight podcast from the show floor....
maybe this time Ewan, myself and Christian wont have to rush off to catch a train so fast like last year (we were in the insight for all of 5 seconds lol).
The fact i am staying over the night before to attend the AAS meet-up, and staying over night to attend the full 2 day show pretty much means i will be there all the time 😊
we're thinking of not having a press zone this year, what do you think?
Press zone - interesting question.
Personally I don't think it matters if there's not a full on press zone (i.e. fully staffed, food etc etc). But I do think it is helpful to have somewhere quiet to work and meet people. That applies to both third parties and spokespeople from the foundation / foundation members. This is especially true if the outside areas fill up (which always seems to happen - find a spare table / space is not easy). Speaking as someone who has a team of people at the show its also a lot easier to co-ordinate meeting up in one place.
I suspect you would also get a lot of complaints from press / media if there wasn't one, or rather they would mention is as bad thing in coverage. A bit like the way people complain about the lack of WiFi. It's probably not desirable from a PR point of view.
