When i download direct to the phone from a web page on some sites it limits the image size. I've tried this with opera mini and its the same-even when the image info on opera says its, say, 300k, it only downloads a 40k version!

The website shows probably only the "thumbnail" of the original picture . Many times you can highlight this "TN" and while pressing the OK-button it wil show the original . If this doesn't work , than they don't want you to download the original . So be happy with the thumbnail ....

...that's not it. I'm using thumbnails and it displays the whole pic in a new window. using the nokia browser the pic often doesnt load but just shows the blue rail boat icon in the top left corner. Space.com often does it esp when going from a link in igoogle.
