How are everyone finding the sensitivity of the gps?
I tried to use maps 3.0 in the car for the first time yesterday and found it kept dropping the lock every few seconds despite the siginal level showing around 40%. It also showed the mph as 0.
Eventually placing the phone near the windscreen (as opposed to where I used to put my N95, near the handbrake) I got a lock which still dropped but only for a few seconds every minute or so.
Not impressed, I thought the N95 was meant to have bad reception but compared to the N97 it's 100% better!
Yea!!! I was using Nokia maps 2 on my N97 and it was great .... then I installed Ovi Maps 3. And its all gone horrible and loses the lock all the time and cant navigate for toffee 😊 Trying to figure out how I get back to Nokia Maps 2 as we speak.
(Edit : I blame Ovi maps 3 NOT the N97 gps module)
I also tried it for the first time today, I had no problems losing the lock (on OVI maps 3.0) but it kept putting me on the wrong lane sometimes and then putting me back. For 2 minutes it looked like I was driving on the wrong side on a major highway......sigh🙄 Nokia
Hmm, not so sure if its just the 3.0 maps app as the dropouts occur in sportstracker and the location app as well..
