flash floods left hand of photo

i just noticed that whenever i use flash the left handside of the photo is all whited out. Looks awful. Does anybody else have this problem.

If not, should i talk to nokia or expansys?

Try cleaning the lens. I had this problem (not as severe as you by the sounds of it) and I fixed it by cleaning the lens.

Tried that to no avail. I've just notice there appears to be a scratch between the led and the lens, bang in the middle. I assume this is being illuminated by the led and flooding the pic.

Nasty...

Question is, if something has got under the lens cover and scratched the lens within 2 weeks, is it a warranty covered issue?

Man I have the same problem!!! The left side of every picture i take in the dark is blurred with too much flash. Were you able to fix this problem?

Don't expect Nokia or Expansys to acknowledge it as a recurrent issue though... neither of them have ever heard of it...

i signed the petition. were you able to get in replaced through nokia warranty?

There is a possible temp fix, on symbian freak, they suggest using a very very fine tip black marker and just draw a line down the side next to the lens, before the scratched lens, people were still getting this because the flash is recessed. I havent tried it yet cos i dont have a fine enough marker around, but will let you know if it helps when i do!
