N97 RSS Feeds in Browser (bug/solution?)

/* RECONSTRUCTED POST */

Previously I had reported that added more than a few feeds in the RSS Feed Reader in the Web Browser appear to make the Feed Reader feature non-functional ("Unknown Error"😉.

A concurrent side-effect is that the home screen live widgets would lock up in "Loading content" and never update.

I got around this by doing a HARD RESET and then manually reconfiguring my N97 NAM without any feeds.

The other night while delving into the depths of the configuration settings for the Web Browser, I noticed that one of the settings:

Options->Settings->Web feeds->Acc. point for auto-update

had an unusual value:

Auto Dial-in ISP

instead of any of the settings from my configured Destinations for Internet access.

What bothers me is that the combo-box selections for this setting do not include "Default Internet"...you have to select a dedicated WiFi point or your ISP connection.

I believe that this "Odd" initial setting (I had not configured it before and after changing it this old setting was not available in the list of selectable options) is what may have been causing the lock-ups.

Since changing this setting to AT&T Internet (my ISP) I have successfully added two feeds with no errors occuring. I will continue to add to see if the problem returns.

Meanwhile...if you still have the above mentioned problems, try looking at and changing this setting to correct the problem.
