Browing AAS with the N97

5 replies · 1,690 views · Started 15 July 2009

I spent a few hours at the doctor's office yesterday and was browsing around the net.

When I got around to this site, the server detected me as a mobile and gave me an abbreviated web view geared to the smaller display.

No problem, right?

I found a post that I wanted to respond to and found that when you are mobile through the Web Browser, there doesn't seem to be any way to login and respond to posts?

Is this by design or am I missing something?

I did a Google query for "All About Symbian" and clicked the first link.

It then took me to the Mobile version.

I think the mobile version is better suited for reading, but every now and then (okay more often than that!) I want to post a reply.

Why isn't this feature in the mobile version?

I know this may not be what your looking for.

Although you can change the setting for the browser to show sites in full.
You will need to get your cer & key file in order to this though & be able to sign applications for your phone.

You need to install Python:
PythonForS60_1_4_5_3rdEd.sis
Then Install:
iphonesque_fp1-1.3-UAChange.sis
Then Install:
UserAgentSelect_v1_0_3.sis

Make sure you install ALL of these in Mass Memory
Then go to applications >> UserAgent
Select what you would like the website to detect you as :EG: Firefox
When you open the web, it should now display the full version.

I hope this, sort of helps.

When you come to the first page of AAS Mobile , select Full(6) . Now you are on the Forum page . You can bookmark this .
Now you can select Home , News , etc .
You also can do the same while using Opera Mini .
