I have downloaded and installed the above mentioned widget/app, but it is not listed in the widgets I can put on my home screen.
Can anyone help?

Just because it's called a widget doesn't mean it will go on your homescreen.
The developer (www.moubail.com) was talking about adding a homescreen widget in a future version.
