I've heard that skype is available for the N97: -

But I've just noticed that I can't get to the skype.com domain using GPRS on TMobile.
Can anybody else get there? (Works OK on PC with work LAN but can't connect N97 to that)

I think this is the just the same old crappy Java app that is available for most Java enabled handsets? There was supposed to be a new native Skype client (with integration to the contacts app), and this was touted by Nokia earlier in the year.
Haven't heard anything since then, so it looks like it's been killed by the network operators.
