date reset problem

4 replies · 3,248 views · Started 16 July 2009

Every time i turn my N95 on, the date is back to 1st Jan 2008, at 9am, and asks if i want to go through the tutorial

Done the restore code thing, but still does it

Many thanks for any help!

It looks like a corrupted File/Application installed . Try to find the software , just installed before the issue started and remove it .
Otherwise , there is a the hard reset workaround , see this thread : http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/81021/
Be sure to make a Backup of all your personal data .
Make a manual restore of all the installed Apps , going to Installations > App Manager and find out by rebooting which App is corrupted .

Sorry to hear the reset didn't work out . I didn't know about an internal clock battery . I suppose it must be a condensor type . When you will have still waranty go for a repair . Otherwise , one thing I can think off , when your Telly operator supports it , you can set Clock to Network Operator : ON . Maybe that works allright .
