Just a quick note of interest for Nokia N86 owners. Go into 'Sw update', in your 'Applications' folder, and you should see an update to Ovi Maps, taking you from v3.0 to v3.1. This represents bug fixes and optimisations. The NokNok guys are also reporting that some N86 product codes are also showing Conversations 9.20, a threaded SMS system that plugs into Contacts, and which was previously only available from Nokia Beta Labs.
Read on in the full article.
I really hope this phone gets the same support from Nokia labs as the N95 did.
Any update to ovi maps is good. Conversations is in my Sw update folder but I prefer not to install it.
Steve, does your N86 menu button glow when the device is idle? And does the battery charge bars halt on any position when fully charged? This phone does seem to have some quirky aspects...but not in a bad way. 😉
Anyone know if there is a version of Conversations for the N97? Threaded messages would be a useful addition to what I consider a bit step up from the N95
Yes, it glows every now and then. And battery bars stay 'full'.
My menu button only glows when there is a notification for email, missed call etc. I think that is the way it is supposed to work.
Go into personalization and then notification lights menu to adjust what you want the menu button to do.
Why is Maps 3.1 not yet available for FP1 phones?? When will it be. Can you find out pleas? Thanks.
