GPRS Test

Yipee! It worked!

And what is amazing is I am doing on my Mac using VirtualPC running Windows 2000.

Any good sites I can visit that are tailored for viewing on Series 60 phones?

Also, is there now way to get RealOne to connect the same way as WebViewer does. It says there is no GPRS conn. even though I can get to the Real site on my 3650...
are you using the built-in "services" browser?
No. It would not work with it. I dl'ed WebViewer and it works well.

Can't wait til Opera is released for the 3650!

Can you clarify that you were connected to the internet by bluetooth through your home network? In other words, not using your GPRS allowance, but surfing by bluetooth?

Posting this from my 3650 connected to my DSL via bluetooth.

Yes....
I did not understand that part too

Did you connect via BT-->PC-->DSL-->INTERNET

or

GPRS-->INTERNET ????

what did you do???

Thank you .....very much

It's very easy. Just enable BT on your phone and start a BT serial port connection from your PC(MAC), start up WebViewer etc. and it should choose to connect you through BT/DSL rather than GPRS.

If you still get connected through GPRS, try setting up a new dummy GPRS account(i.e leave all the settings blank) and choose this new dummy GPRS account when you start up WebViewer.

If you still get connected through GPRS, change the APN(to whatever) of the dummy GPRS account.
