used SDSH card out of Nokia E90 not readable on any PC

Hello,

Last week I sold my Nokia E90. I have used a 8GB micro SDHC memory in the Nokia E90 with encryption and password.

Today I found out that I cannot read the memory card on any PC or laptop with usb card reader or SD adaptor card. Message is: No card pressent.

The card was working fine when I took it out of my Nokia E90. Must be kind of protection.

WHo can help me to use the card again?
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Tom

Probably the cardreader or driver is not hc compatible . You can put the SDhc Card in another phone , connect it to PC , etc.

Dear Tom:
i have had the same problem, but i did not sell my phone, i just wanted to read the data on my memory card in my PC, but you CAN NOT do it as long as i have password, Nokia E series are very strong in these security option, i think your only was would be find a Nokia E series phone, insert the memory card and then remove the password, if you don't know the password, i have to say, i'm sorry, you can not do anything

Thank you very much. I know the password, luckilly. I will ask a colleage to borrow his Nokia E71.
I will let you know.

Apparently, if you set a lock code for your phone (ie. a message you can SMS your phone to lock it if it gets lost) AND you haven't already set a password for your memory card, the message (or part of it) will form the basis for a new password for the card, even though there is no warning.

If at a later stage you either want to change the password or remove it entirely, if you've forgotten the password that your phone gave to your card, you're stuffed.
