How to change N97's product code

Hi all

Is there a guide on how to change N97's product code? I have got a N97 Black with vodafone store. I want to change to a Hong Kong product code

I have found these produce codes online:
RM-505 (Global version) - FW 10.0.012
0585868: N97 H3G HK B
0575297: RM-505_APAC_HONG KONG black

RM-505 => FW 11.0.021
0586302: N97 HK CV B
0575297: RM-505_APAC_HONG KONG black

What is the difference? My current product code is FW 10.0.012. Grateful if someone can advice me, thank you!!!

H3G = HK Hutchinson 3G
Not sure about the HK CV B one..
I used the 0575297 one myself to do mine.

The HongKong codes give you a working FM transmitter.. thanks guys

I used a Singapore code to get asian font support it doesn't lock the FM

Jesus! I didnt know that.. (The HK version locks the transmitter!)

Reason why I need the HK version is because of the Traditional chinese capabilities (Singapore only gives you simplified).

Sigh.. Maybe try the Taiwanese one next time on next update (as they should have traditional fonts!)

what it says .. transmits the audio at least (I did ask for video too Nokia .. but DLNA will do for that in the next version)

so when you're playing music you can switch the output from the 3.5jack to the FM transmitter .. which will fire it on a suitable frequency for about a metre or so.

I first saw this HongKong FM issue on a N85 I got which had an HK code. I just changed it to Euro (at that stage I had no need for Asian font support) .. I suspect the same for the N97 HK code .. which is why I asked.

I also wonder if the RM-506 variant for China which has no WiFi !! is also only disabled in firmware or they physically changed the board?

It basically allows your N97 to broadcast it out through a radio - like in a car.. Can be used as a poor man's hands-free/car kit as your call will come out through your car's radio. Alternatively, you can play your MP3's and sounds through the radio too this way

Changed my product code to Taiwan and upgraded it to V12.. got my Traditional Chinese AND FM Transmitter.. hehehe.. But lost my Simplified Chinese input (Mandarin PinYin).
