Sending photos per e-mail (with a resonable size thank u)

How about sending photos taken with the camera (N86, so a whopping 8 Mpixel) and sending them as more reasonable - say 800x600 - sized photos via e-mail? Is that impossible, or very very cumbersome at least, without adding some 3rd party software?

The phone does this very fine and seamless when sending photos as MMS... what am I missing?

You can edit photos from the gallery application and resize the photo (it creates a new copy of the image), then attach that...

Yes, but that is what I call "very very cumbersome" and very unintuitive. I could do that on my N73 as well, no fancy Nokia Messanging software. Has nothing happened during the last 2 years?

What were they thinking? :con? They developed a new e-mail client, they integrated it directly with photo applications (camera, gallery) for sending purposes - but with very limited everyday usability! 😮

Okay, so what about 3rd party e-mail application, any good available that replaces the Nokia one fully so that when I select "send, e-mail" from camera or gallery, it launches that applicaton. Anyone?
