I was uninstalling some apps and reinstalling them to mass memory and accidently deleted "ovi store client" you cant access ovi from the shortcut on the phone from the pc ovi just lets you text a link to yourself when you open that up in your browser there is no download link and i searched the net and found a link and when you try to install it it says cannot install as its already embedded on the phone .
any help would be gratefull as i've been at this for over 5 hours now.
Not looked that hard but was unable to find a download link for the N97 OVI client. However, I don't think a reinstall would work as the client is now part of the firmware from V11 so I would assume a firmware reinstall is the only way.
Strange that it would allow you to uninstall an app thats part of the firmware though, especially as you cant remove rubbish like boingo.
i've reinstalled the firmware v11 still no luck.
the link is still in menu but when you tap it the screen just blinks and stays on menu.:con?
update
did a hard reset and then restore from a previous backup and all back to normal with a massive memory freeup now up to 47.7 free.😊
