MAPS3 Lonely Planet guides?

0 replies · 2,147 views · Started 26 July 2009

Where are they? You cannot buy them anymore can you for cities like you could in maps2?

They advertise guides by Lonely Planet but I cannot find them or even buy them despite having both traffic and walk licence and speed camera traffic licences.
I got this reply from nokia.

Any help?

Liam

"Another reply from Nokia. Still dont think it answers my question though. Are the Lonely Planet guides merely the places of interested listed unlike in maps two when you could actually purchase a City Guide?

And Events and Movies service, whats that?

Anyway updates are being made continuously but they still dont tell you when updates are avaialble?

Anyone else know about these Lonely Planet guides?

"Thank you for your reply. I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

The guide that you are referring to indeed provides you information of places of interest included on the maps and also other information which allows you search for things to do and places to eat. However, updates are being made on the guides and you may a lot of information coming in periodically.

The City Explorer license includes a global walk license, a weather license, 3D landmarks, an Events & Movies service and a Travel service (Premium point of interest information). However,
to use real time traffic information during your route, you need to have a Drive & Walk navigation license and a Traffic info license in your region.

Please be assured that we certainly take into account that the requirements of our customers may differ. Therefore, I have forwarded your comments to the product team. Any updates will be made available on the Nokia website.

I hope that this information assists you, Liam. I apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused and look forward to your continuous support in Nokia.
