Hi folks,
A few years ago a friend of mine came up with a nice sliding block puzzle game. As a quick learning exercise I've written a WRT implementation of it, which you can download here. If you like puzzle games like Sokoban then this might be interesting to you.
I'm planning to support some better known related puzzles (Sokoban is the main one, actually, and is mostly done), so I'd really appreciate feedback about the current widget before I put any more effort into it.
Thanks,
Glenn

I like that, it's a bit of a bugger though!
Can't beat a good puzzle game...
My only comment is a fwe times when starting it, it just crashed and closed but I suspect thats just down to the near beta reliability of the wrt api rather than the widget (mumble mumble complain)
Other than that, might be nice to add some light graphics to the blocks to make em more blocky...
Good stuff. Mind if I add it to my site (see sig)?
Some of the levels are a bit of a challenge no question about it!
I'm unhappy that it's crashing out on startup sometimes. I can't reproduce that here, but I'll look more closely at what's happening when it starts and see if I can identify the culprit.
Better tiles (at least to differentiate the blocks from the walls) are on my to do list, definitely, along with undo support. How were the controls? I was thinking the on-screen arrows would be easier to use if they were bigger, but it steals space from the actual level display then.
Of course you can add it to your site (great resource, by the way).
I've done a small update with some bug fixes and a few minor improvements (including multi-step undo as a frustration reducer and a crude attempt to make the blocks blockier). Same URL as before, or use the built in updater on the "About" menu.
I haven't been able to track down the cause of the crash on start (it doesn't happen for me, and I can't see any cause). If anyone else sees it could you let me know?
Enjoy!
I had a little play around last night
But that's enough about my personal life 😮
And then I tried the puzzle game . Worked fine for me, didn't crash, just tried level 1 and 2 and seemed to be all ok.:icon14:

It may have been my N97 playing up to be honest... I think tha API gets flaky sometimes...
