no problem... its Dan Carter btw 😊... not sure why it showed Unregistered.

Yep, mea culpa. I only discovered the Mac 'connector' a couple of days ago, after recording the podcast. In my defense, Nokia didn't actually tell anyone about the release, as I recall. You'd have thought that they'd have shouted about it etc. Go figure.

Hi,

I found that Ovi files were unfriendly to use because it need computer (PC/Mac but not Linux). I don't think PC were necessary for Ovi files, because in this mobile world, I should able to backup my files on phone without the need to touch my PC at all.

I really wish that nokia fix this error

My thumbs down to OVI files because there seems to be no way I can find to control what OVI can see - it chooses My Documents and that's it. I need to choose what part of my PC OVI is showing to the world - this is a security issue. Plus a single "Fast folder" is pretty lame.

Please guys, don't forget Linux....MS Windows and OS X aren't the only oses out there.

Also, I'm curious what h/w and s/w you use for creating your podcast. Do you just use Skype on your S60 phones (using something like Nimbuzz) - akin to Steve's Phones Show - "shot *on* a phone" - or via desktop/etc?

We're all using Skype on a desktop (varying platforms). I do the recording using a program called CallBurner. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done.

I'm not sure it would be possible to get decent qulaity using only the phone!

For mobile podcats I use the H2 Zoom pocket recorder.

Hi guys,

Update & question for you all, recently 5800 was updated at forum.nokia.com as having a 434mhz processor, following the v.20 f/w update which apparently overclocked the ARM 11 slightly.

It seems like most people made aware of this change was suprised. Is this something that Nokia adopts frequently and is this possibly the trend going forward?

Now the N97 uses the same 434mhz as 5800 which is quite shocking from a marketing perspective given the pricing differences; it wouldn't be a stretch to see the N97 being overclocked. As a reference, is the E72 600 mhz processor the same ARM 11 used in N97 & 5800?

Thanks,

Yitwave
