I would like to be able to do either of these actions with the right nav key on the main menu:

*Lock keypad.
*Access applications folder.

But neither is on the actions list I can map to that key... is there any way to do this?

thanks in advance.

It's hard to answer . Which Phone ? Do you mean standby/home screen and shortcuts from softkeys and D-pad ? You can set this : Settings > General > Personally > Standby-mode/Homescreen .

It's a Nokia E63, sorry I didn't mention it.

I mean for the left and right softkeys in the home/standby screen.

Though "Settings > General > Personally > Standby-mode/Homescreen" I get a lot of options, but not the ones I want.

On my old Nokia 5200 I could set the right softkey to "block keys", but not here...

Operating Software differences S40 - S60 I suppose . Anyway you can personalise the Stanby/Homescreen from many choises to a maximum of 7shortcuts ( 5 way D-pad + 2 softkeys ) to e.g. Menu , Single Applications and Bookmarks from your Webbrowser .

unless you're using "active home" or "active stand-by" (don't know how it translates), like I do. Then the D-pad is used to move through icons.

Thats why the 2 softkeys are very useful...

In any homescreen you can lock/unlock the keypad by pressing left softkey and then * Key . To light up the sreen for a few seconds , just press left softkey .
Hope this helps .
