Not seen it mentioned yet but Live TV is now available on the N97. Only works via WiFi though (unless it doesn't work via 3G because I'm on T-Mobile).

Looks pretty good, just watched New Tricks in widescreen 😊

Does it work only on britphones?
I do not live on the old rainy isles anymore but I surely would'nt mind a bit of BBC torpor for time to time...

thanx for the info, just tested it via wifi, works good and its only about 7 seconds behind real DVB l in my house

Just tested this and works for me too... but has a 10 second lag. Also News24 is very poor quality so poor in fact that the clock in the bottom left corner and scrolling text are severly pixellated. BBC 1 is unavailable for some reason.

Could someone tell me what is meant by "BBC3 is not saved. Save now?" I get this option when I exit the live streaming.

No joy for me, i get the sound but just a gray screen, no picture. Will try again later I guess.

Works ok for me but think the resolution could be turned up a notch or 2. Pictures do look quite pixelated and News is just terrible. As a TV license payer i demand better mobile TV 😊.

What a good idea. It works quite well using WiFi. I see what you mean about BBC News 24 though.

BBC 1 and 2 are OK'ish but could do with some tweaking.

BBC 3 and 4 are off the air but will try them later.

CBBC and CBeebies seem OK.

BBC News 24 is pixelated in the graphics area.

BBC Parliament seems to have a slight haze (guess that's all the hot air!).

As stated in their Help section, the service is only available over WiFi and only to UK mobiles using native browsers (Opera mini and others may use sites outside the UK and are therefore blocked).

This service is a great idea and it's nice to see the BBC leading the way. I can see lots of uses for this service.

The iplayer app works fine for me. I notice the phone gets extremely hot while streaming - hope it doesn't overheat...

The difference is that this is LIVE TV as it happens as opposed to recorded TV.

Great find! I agree the resolution could be better but it's certainly a step in the right direction!
