Problem with viewing photos and Videos

oh joy another problem..........

when i go into either photos or vidoes i get to the first screen ok, which has "last viewed" and "downloaded" etc

but when i select either my vids/photos or downloaded i get the white screen and nothing happens

any ideas guys?

i think cannot close the programme down, even when i hold down silver key and select prog and choose exit.

any and all help will be appreciated 😡

Update - can see photos and vids now, but something is not right....

when i got into downloaded photos, there are 2 "broken" files in there

one is called 'screencaps' and the other is called 'last watched'

cannot delete either, if i try i get system error message

can you remove them using your pc suite, i think i had that on my N95 once and had to taken them off with that method

I had a broken file I couldn't delete yesterday.

What happened was I snapped a pic which I then tried to send via mms, but there were problems with the sending.
When I went to view the photo it showed as a broken file. Tried deleting it, but said it was in use and could not be performed.
Only thing was to reboot the phone, so maybe try what angiepea has suggested.

thanks, will try using PC suite, but I can't see these files when i go through using file manager on the phone....

is there a way to reboot without wiping memory or resetting everything?

sorry, another stupid question......

The gallery quite often "ignores" photos and videos ive taken and refuses to display them even in the downloaded files. I have to browse the file structure which is really annoying.

Nokia have also removed the ability to send or edit a video as MMS ( basically the option to cut and compress for MMS ) meaning that unless you specifically take a video for multimedia you cant send them anyway. ( They did this for the N95 and is typical Nokia short sighness )

Anyone know of any apps with the same level of functionality of the N95 Video Editor?

i would happily pay for some software that could coherently show me all my photos

sometime captured photos go into downloaded, i don't understand why

the only thing that shows all photos is the nokia photo browser, but its so slow its not really useable with lots of photos

the photo browser from Beta Labs is just like Cool Iris. Works well on my N97 and with slightly less functionality on my N95.

What does the N95 one have that the N97 one doesn't? :con?
