Can't properly update firmware...

Nokia Software Updater tries to install some drivers on my Windows XP system and those drivers don't get installed properly. Then it tries to update my phone and bricks it.

Is there any other way to properly update the phone firmware?

Over The Air (OTA) using Settings\Phone\Phone mgmt\Device updates ? (Make sure you have a WiFi connection though).

That won't update the firmware...it will only show that there is some available, but you need PC to update it AFAIK...

I think you are supposed to be able to download and update the firmware this way (without a PC or Mac).
