Next N97 Firmware Update!

No, but I heard that amongst the planned new features are: -

Randomly formatting C: and E: to improve performance.
Blocks visiting forum posts that criticise Nokias handling of the N97 (what problems?).
Makes the physically keyboard buttons map to different keys without warning.
Decreases resolution of camera photos to disguise scratch flare

*sigh*

I want that stupid RINGTONE bug to be fixed.. Its bloody embarrassing that every second call coming in is the standard NOKIA tone! Friggin hell..

Just read on Titter that something major is due out by the end of August so fingers crossed.

Damn, from the title I thought the new update was announced or expected lol 😞

I have read somewhere that there is an update due which would add Skype functionality sometime at the end of summer/start of autumn, but word of this update was around before the v11 came out.

I have that problem too!!

I thought it was my own fault, that maybe i'd not set the profile/ringtone settings correctly!

Other great features i've heard about are :

- Being able to close the Photo app via simple use use of the zoom tool
- Random menu font size change
- Random display/not display of caller ID photo on home screen widget (great for people who's face annoys you if you look at them too much.

Can't wait for these to be implemented.

I wouldn't mind if this happened as it'd probably show my one and only favourite contact, my girlfriend, and she looks really sweet on her pic :redface:

the ringtone bug also brings along two methods of answering calls for some reason - there is the ones that play your normal ringtone and you can press the buttons to answer.. or there is the time when the Nokia tune plays and you have to slide the screen to answer!

Whats the go in that?? jeez.. Have Nokia decided which method they want people to answer by?
