not to be a busybody or anything but i'm just curious why anyone would really want to (or need to) know such a thing~ because the APIs are all set up for you..

I have an application for a miniature camera that's used in the 7650... I've got no plans to write code for the phone itself, but integrate that kind of camera inside a "thing"* that would be handy to have photographs of the operator taken.

I've narrowed my search down to an Agilent part, namely the HDCS-2020. Not a complete solution however as it doesn't come supplied with basic optics, but the you get the general gist from it 😊 This "thing"* that the camera would be buried inside of is almost the same size as the 7650, with equally small voids inside to locate such camera - miniature is paramount in my design brief, then cost :-?
