Hi 😊
I changed where my messages are stored from C to Mass. When I did this it asked me if I wanted to copy, or move the messages. I chose Move.
Today I noticed that there weren't many messages in my inbox. I investigated and the phone had switched back to using C to store messages.
Now, when I select Mass I get all my old messages but not the most recent ones. How to I copy the ones from C back over to Mass?
I think this has happened becuase the other day I got message saying the phone couldn't access mass and was going to swtich back to using C. I did however change it straight back to mass and all seemed well.
Thanks for any advice! :icon14:
As far as I know, you cant.
I think that this swapping-back-to-C:-drive with Messaging is a result of using the N97 in Mass Storage mode while plugged into a PC.
Before you plug your N97 in to access file, try putting it into OFFLINE mode first.
This may stop the Messaging application from trying to do an email pull and thus needing to use the C: drive while your PC is using the E: drive.
Ah yes. I heard about this issue, but at the time I got the message the phone wasn't connected to the PC.
Also, AFAIK, and I may be wrong, the issue only happens when connected via mass storage, and I normall connect through PC suite......
Yet another annoying thing to add to the N97 list!!
I find that when connecting to PC Suite or OVI Suite 2.0 in PC Suite mode that my phone defaults to C:. Usually if I'm checking for updates or syncing.
As you say... "annoying".
GRRRRR!
