Whats wrong with my phone, i dont understand, on a full charge, when i talk, it only lasts for like an hour ? god why is this battery so shit, it doesn't last long at all. It gives me an hour most of the time on a full charge.
Whats going on ? why is it so damn low
And also, the battery status shows full bars, then as soon as someone calls, it goes down to 1 bar and gives me a low warning, it hardly uses the bars in the middle EVER (v 3.16), whats going on with this also ?

Sounds like a dodgy battery to me, is it official Nokia or a replacement?
Also are there any other apps running on your phone such as screensavers, these can seriously drain your battery.

nope, standard nokia battery.
no other apps running in the background ..
all i have running is keylock ..
and my screensaver is just default time/date.
Could be either the charger not charging properly, or more likely the battery not holding the charge, I've seen this before, not with a Nokia battery mind, a cheap import.
Do you know anyone with another battery you can test?
You could try leaving it on charge for like 2 days even though it says battery full - remove the plug and charge again, continue this cycle.
Should not need to do this with the 7650 battery but may be worth a try.

For convience i used an older nokia charger i had lying around so i could charge my phone while i was in a different room. Everything seemed fine and the phone charged as normal in about an hour. For the next couple of days afterwards i got the same symptoms as you. It was show full and then died, i would charge it (this time with the correct charger) and it would do it again. It sorted itself back out again and has been fine for weeks since.
What's your phone version? The 3.16v had many problems with battery life which were fixed with the 4.39v firmware.
Still... most probably you have a damaged battery. You can easily obtain a brand new one from Nokia for free, if you haven't used it for more than six months...
That's their warranty limit... 😮ops:
lol, my fudged 7650 which i got a replacement for today was version 3.16
i had the battery problem just like you, and orange gave me a new battery instantly, although i never got to try it as they then decided i needed a new phone
i definately reccomend the upgrade to 4.39 as 3.16 seemed very buggy to me for the week that i had it

Sounds good, wonder if 7650i has these benifits too, i may wait till then and upgrade.
But the idea of letting my 7650 go on holiday without me for a few weeks. And does it cost to upgrade the firmware.?
When I bought mine a few weeks ago from carphonewarehouse I asked for the latest firmware, but would have had to wait 2 weeks so I declined.
Some of the NCS do it while you wait - lookup on the nokia website and you can get a list for your area, phone one up and they should be able to tell you the best place to go 😊

I would try a friend's battery or just buy a new one, it sounds very much like a faulty battery.
