The other downside is the cosmetic angle. The replacement cover produces a huge 'bulge', plus the primitive finish isn't as eye-catching as the original textured cover. Now, it's important to emphasise that this is mainly a fashion thing: in the hand, the bugle actually helps use, since the fingers of your hand nestle around it - it makes gripping the E75 easier. But put the phone down or wave it around and the device will look a little 'odd'.

Whether the huge bulge affects CAMERA's view or not ???
No, the bulge actually helps the camera, by keeping surface dust etc away from the camera glass. The protrusion doesn't get in the way of the camera's field of view.

It appears they have a whole range of extended capacity batteries for numerous Nokia phones, AND the covers to go with them e.g. N95 & N95 8GB, E6, E71, E90.
The E90 is 1800 mAh as opposed to the standard 1500 mAh but even so, it's ot to be worth looking at.

Scrub my last re the E90 & 1800 mAh - Having taken the time to check properly it appears that the 1800 mAh battery is a 'standard fit' and doesn't require a new cover.
The really interesting news is that the extended battery is a whopping 3600 mAh but does require a Mugen custom battery cover. The bottom line? $66 for the battery and cover, with free worldwide shipping advertised...
Veeeerry tempting... Credit card is now all a quiver....

Mugen have been producing high capacity (some with custom covers) for a very long time. They are very good compared to those cheap batteries advertised on eBay which often lie about their actual capacity and do not always pass safety regulations.
I'm sorry, but what's the problem with buying second STANDARD battery and change it when the first one is empty?
All they did was take two BL-4U batteries and wire them together to create one monster battery. What they shouldv'e done was create an entirely new battery 1.5 times as thick as the BL-4U, at 1500mAh and use that instead. It would still look silly with a bulge on the back but at least it wouldn't look as silly. So when do they create one for the N97?

I went to their site. They have nothing for N79 but then my my phone is will just look damn damn dirty 😉 Am fine with carrying my charger 😊
