Hi, I have a 2002 car with a basic stock cd player with no aux input. I want to use my 5800 for music and want to know the best way and what equipment to get. If i got a bluetooth car kit would the sound quality be good, i want it to be as good as the cd player? Any equipment recommendations? Thanks.
Nokia 5800 music in car
Hi,
what I'm using is iOPlay and its awesome. You can find it here: http://www.my-io.com/Products/iOPLAY.aspx
Thanks for that. Seems really good but is it easy to install?
I haven't done it myself. Professionals did it and it wasn't expensive. What I know is, that you need SOT cable specific for your car and than it should be easy.
i have use several fm transmiters, and i hate em
i to need cd quality sound,so im going to buy a head unit with aux jack on it
I went to a car audio shop and was told the sound quality from a phone is radio quality through an io play but better through a parrot usb stick. I think i might be sticking to my cd player at this rate!
baliator - would you say the IO play is as good as the cd player in your car or close? Also how much was you charged to have it fitted? Cheers.
Sound quality is just great, I would say, its close to CD quality. Fitting was 1000 CZK 😊. I guess you're going to pay in different currency.

You might also want to look at the Nokia CK20 and CK100 car kits. They also support stereo Bluetooth steaming. I have had the CK20 in my 2003 Audi for about 3 years. I would say the sound is between FM and CD quality. I don't think you will find any Bluetooth streamer that will give real CD quality because of the compression inherent in the technogy.
The CK20 cost me about 220 inc fitting when I got it but that was a few years ago. I expect it will have come down by now.
How about aux adaptors so i can just plug straight in? Would these have a better sound quality or the same?

of course direct aux input is obviously the best choice of all. i use this option. but if you dont have a aux input in your car stereo then you are out of luck.
