23!! Would be very useful if I could view/edit some word documents on my phone whilst on the move but this seems a bit steep.

Anyone purchased the full version yet? Does it have full editing features?

Yes, it does and there was a special offer a few weeks ago so I got it for 12. Might be worth waiting for another promotion if you want it.

Quickoffice is too expensive and has bugs.

I purchased OfficeSuite from Handango for about US$15 and have been using it for Word, Excel and Powerpoint files.

One drawback...you cannot uninstall Quickoffice DEMO from the N97 and even though the file associations of xls, doc and ppt can be reassigned with X-plore you cannot get them to link through on the command line to OfficeSuite.

Restating...you need to start OfficeSuite, then navigate to the file you want to open in order to open it with OfficeSuite.

I am a bit disappointed that there isn't a lesser-cost comparable product to Adobe Reader LE which seems to be integrated with the Quickoffice product. I purchased the reader upgrade from them rather than PDF+.

Because I had to do a firmware upgrade and hard reset, I lost the Adobe Reader LE license and it took me a few weeks to get them to respond with an activation code to get my product working again.

I thought the registration codes were based on IMEI number..?

Been using Quick Office for a couple of years now and think it's great. Does all you want it to do, very easily. Bought it when I had the N95 and do not remember what I paid. They upgraded it for my N97 at no cost. Thought that was a nice detail.

Cheers,

Barrie

@celios - yes, registration codes are based on IMEI number. Firmware upgrade and hard reset do not change IMEI number, but when the memory is wiped any license data is lost. Since I had unlocked the software OTA I did not receive an activation code (in human readable form) to enter, it just activated itself. Hence, the need to communicate with them to get them to give me my activation code. Took quite a few threats before they would do it.

@everyone-else...bugs that I found were in the PowerPoint viewer which would cause program lock-ups with no way to exit the program. You had to go to the Task Manager and kill the task. This wasn't an overly complex .ppt--just text and graphics--no animation, no video, no audio or even transitions!!

Officesuite at 1/3rd the cost had no problem with displaying my ppt's.

I wrote to Quickoffice to let them know of the bug, but got no response whatsoever.
