To save me searching through pages of threads....
I saw on a video demo that the N97 is to have an automatic landscape mode (i.e without the use of opening the keyboard) is this still the case ??...if so could someone advise as my N97 just isnt playing ball.

off by default
The reason it is off by default is that the Compass won't work very well with it on -and- it will be very difficult to answer a call while the phone is in motion (such as picking it up from a table) as the display will be rotating back and forth between portrait and landscape.
