Using MP3's as ringtones on Nokia E71-2

Just purchased a Nokia E71-2 today and by far is one of the best phones I've ever used.
But I got a question. I want to use a MP3 as my ringtone, but can't seem to set iit right.
I've tried putting my music file into the "Music Downloads" folder of my Nokia when I plug it in my computer, but it doesn't show up when I go to Tools>Settings>Profile>Profiles>Customize>ringing tone.

Have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Trying to help :
1) be sure the mp3 file is stored in your phone : so transfer it via cable or bluetooth . Preferably to MemoryCard , to save device memory . For a ringing tone you can make an exception , since changing memorycard , removes the file .
2) check via Filemanager in the Music folder whether the file is stored .
3) setting can be done in two ways :
A) go to Profiles , select a profile , e.g. General and open Ringingtone . Now select the wanted one .
B) open the file in Filemanager (or Musicplayer) . While it is playing select Options > Use Tone > Set as Ringingtone .
