Hi guys
I am now on my 3rd yes 3rd Samsung I8910 due to call problems. During calls I get a sudden sharp increase in volume which only is solved by moving the handset away from my head and activating the loudspeaker and then re-activating the handset again. Anyone else been having this problem. There is also a constant hissing in the background. I am getting merrily fed up with it.

i have the same problems but with the new update the hissing in the background was corrected but the sudden sharp increase in volume remains.
Do you correct it or not?

I gave up hope of Samsung ever fixing the call quality issue's with the I8910 so I bought an Iphone 3gs back in late october 2009. The weirdest thing of all was that if I made a Skype call there was never any hiss or sharp volume increase.
Hi - just wanted to add for everyone that I've never had any call quality problems with the i8910(s) I've had. Call quality is subjective, I know, but I've had my fair share of many handsets in my time, and also used iPhones (courtesy of work, etc.) and I'd actually put my i8910 handset's call quality above that of the 3GS, but it's all my own opinion/ears etc. My, humble, guess, is that you have been unlucky in getting bad hardware in a batch of handsets... a classic idea, I know... 🙄
