I just want to save a bluetoothed text file

Nokia E61i. I bluetooth a text file over from my PC. It appears in messages. I try and open it - the text editor (Ded) opens but with an empty screen. I make it into a .doc file on the PC and resend. Now Quick Office has a go but says "unable to load the file". I make it into HTML and try again. Now it opens in the browser, so at least I can read it, but the browser cannot save or select bits of text for the clipboard. Seems like such a simple thing to want to do. Works fine with a .jpg file - opens in a viewer with a "SaveAs" option. Any ideas as to where I am going wrong? Thanks.

This is a solution - many thanks for your reply. I did not know about "Active File" although I have used various file browsers before. "Smarter" solution might come along, but this is great for now. I was most frustrated. :icon14:
