Nokia announces the Nokia Booklet 3G mini-laptop preloaded with Ovi software — N-Gage

Nokia's entered the laptop world with their Nokia Booklet 3G, which you can see in a video embedded below. It's a 3G and Wi-FI compatible netbook with a 12-hour battery and a glass HD screen. It runs on Windows but comes preinstalled with a new version of Ovi Suite which will allow you to sync your phone to all of Nokia's Ovi services. We have no word yet on what this means for Ovi Store or Nokia's gaming strategy, but we will keep you posted. Nokia's probably entering the laptop market partly to promote Ovi services and partly because so many phone network operators are selling mini-laptops.

Any idea on the price?
I might buy one if it costs less than 500$ But if it is over that i would buy a proper laptop.

I suspect this will be a rather expensive model as it talks about having a 12 hour battery, 2cm thickness, glass high definition screen, HD output etc. Those aren't low-price specifications.

But what Nokia tends to do when starting a new product line is first offer a top-of-the-range model and then offer cheaper models later on. So even if this is expensive there might well be something less expensive later.

The actual price for this should be announced at Nokia World at the beginning of next month.
