Im not sure why but Y Browser shows somewhat different folder names and drives available than the default file manager. For example, file manager shows folder 'installed file' and y browser shows 'installs' for exact same folder. Why is that? Which one shows real names?
Y Browser vs default file manager - different folder names?
I've noticed that too. I'm inclined to believe that y-browser is telling you the truth as I've used it on my last two phones with no problems.
What neither phone shows, though, is the Private folder. I'm betting that's where most of our C: drive is disappearing.
That's the question ! I consider the naming an issue of languagepack . My Filemanager says "Afbeeldingen" and Y-Browser says "Images" . Because of the alphabetical order the folders are also in a different location . But content is the same .......
The Private Folder is shown in X-Plore (compatible to S60 v5) and Griffon2 (from JBakTaskman) but cannot be accessed .

Not much use if we can't access it, but nonetheless it's worth keeping an eye on. On another thread in this forum, to fix a problem with out-of-date thumbnails in the Photos app, its suggested you go into a folder in in Mass Memory's Private folder to delete the database file the phone makes to store all the thumbnails and the location of your images/videos in the app. I checked this and the file was <> 36Mb.
If a similar thing is happening on C:\ then this could explain why most of us are running dangerously low on space...
Same with OTHER and OTHERS folder.. 😊
