I noticed on mine it says
VGA 3.5mm 1.2.8
but then in the Australian POS (point of sale) promotional gear the photo of the phone has VGA F = 2.8mm written on it.
What do yours say? Anyone know what they mean?
Also note.. my phone is Hong Kong CHINESE except with English OS flashed on it; it is version 2.49~

is urs an official english? mine is a flashed HK version i think.
As far as I know mine is an official English version. It came in an English box and all the manuals, etc are in English only.

my camera is VGA 3.5mm 1:2.8.. i have bought it from finland and its official..
i have read review of this phone(from finnish computer magazine) that says that 3650 comes 2.8mm camera.. that was about six months ago

btw how big are ur guys boxes? seriousli.. mine woz massive. roughly 21cm x 17cm x 7.5cm! (and its a yucky brown colour..).. more than twice the size of my sister's 6100 box and my old 8310 boxes.
My camera is also VGA 3.5mm 1:2.8. v1.34 dated 11-25-2002 with a blue housing!
My 'release' phone which is HK flashed English is VGA 3.5 1:2:8
BUT the beta pre-release phones that went to developers about 6 months ago were VGA 2.8.
Perhaps Nokia were saving money when making on beta phones?
Or got bad feedback from developers so upgraded the cam.
2.8 & 3.5 is the focal range, I think 2.8 is a closer focal range than 3.5
I guess 3.5 is better?

Here you go, didn't bother to take any pics of the manuals though. They're the same, justin English. Took the pics with the phone's camera.

To me who lives in Sweden(Europe) and has seem many Nokia phone boxes I would be very surprised if they will look like that here 😉 Here they are blue, not white and brown. Blue is what I associate with Nokia, it has kind of become their colour, hehe. That box looks "chinese" to me, though it is in English 😊
most phone boxes here are white 'n blue.. even the 8310 box was sorta blue.. it woz silver and blue.

The manual book is in Indonesia language and the phone self is in English.
With 2 covers u can choose , i choosed blue with the blue light keypad.
I bought in Indonesia Rp 4.000.000,- so if 1 US $ = 8950 = so is around
US$ 446,92
and this is an official from INTOUCH ( one of distributor NOKIA in Indonesia)

But I'm so disappointed when i realize that when i played back my record camera there's no sound in it/ 😞 Is anyone have the same problem with mine?

2.8 is to do with the focal lens i think..
also theres not enough memory to record sound with video but there are progs that let u do that mmc.. look in the true/false topic.

Yup, it came with a 16MB MMC. Easy to miss if you don't look for it, if you didn't know it was there you could throw it out with the rest of the extra literature they put in the box.
early protos were 3.5mm (same as 7650), but later ones went down to 2.8 and gave noticably clearer pictures (less 'fisheye'😉. I dont know why they have gone back to 3.5 for release though???
