Right when u set the phone to lock with code after xx mins, on my N95 you would type the code in and it wud apear on screen as ***** straight away , why does the n86 show say 1 the number then after a sec or two show the * this is proper bad as i dont want ppl to see what im inputting

any ways to solve this thanks

I totally agree with this. My N86 8MP is the same, as I'm sure every N86 is... what use is it to show each character before censoring them a second or two later??? Strange though, how it doesn't do this when entering the PIN code for the SIM card. that does it correctly, showing just **** as you enter your PIN.

Any other N-Series do it too?

On my N86, if the code could contain letters, the keyboard defaults to normal text input. This indeed shows the character briefly before changing to *****. If your code only contains numbers, toggle the # key to numeric input only before entering the code. That way the ***** comes up immediately when the keys are pressed. The PIN code for the SIM card can only contain numbers as far as I am aware.

the code of mine only contains numbers, and the default characters on unlock is numbers 123... but it still shows the button press e.g 6 then * a second later
