Me and my hubby both have N97's he's with vodaphone and i'm with orange.
We were both playing with our phones, he was browsing the internet and i was just doing some organisation with the phone software (well there's nothing on telly) - we both got the white screen at exactly the same time 😮
We immediately thought that is might have been something updating from Nokia, though it's doubtful - any thoughts ?
Spooky though
Just a thought angiepea... but are you both running identical 3rd party software that may have caused them them to crash at a specific time?
I agree with you about TV by the way.
I suggest an early night.
I'm beginning to wonder. There was a blog post August 24th about certain Nokia cell phones in Florida were being pulled from the shelves and no longer advertised due to them having a problem with an AT&T network upgrade that triggers adverse behavior in the phones--decreased battery life and spontaneous reboots.

I'm in Texas and I've had a couple of spontaneous reboots and a couple of times where the battery went down to nil in an unexpected amount of time. I have AT&T. They're planning on making this change nation-wide?
I wonder...if it's time to cancel my five AT&T cell phones, AT&T residential & long distance and my AT&T DSL ???
UPDATE: Also reported with multiple 3G phones on AT&T's network including the E71X and also with Verizon's 3G network:

Well the only 3rd party stuff we both have uploaded is Opera.
Thanks for those links rdcinhou, i've read a couple of them but will read more later on.
