N97 (RM 505) with firmware 12.0.024 disconnects from Pioneer AVIC-F900BT during the call...My old N95 worked with Pioneer fine....

Pioneer have an image file you can downoad to your phone then send it by BT to the unit.

Check their website mate

Robski

P.S My N97 connects fine to my pioneer head unit no probs but I'm not running the same firmware as you.

My nokia N97 sometimes have bluetooth problems too. Sometimes I can't receive nor bond with my pc and sometimes my wife Sony Ericsson W910 can't send file to my N97. Any idea why? My device can be seen by other devices, my laptop etc

Nop, can't upgrade this way- AVIC-F900BT you can only update by USB or SD, and it does not apply .jpg that way...
I think, it N97 bluetooth problem as N95 worked fine....

I also have the same problems with this combination of N97 and Pioneer AVIC F-900BT.
With my old N95 8GB the Pioneer works fine. But with my new N97 (latest update) it did not work good. Sometimes it cancels the calls or disconnect the phone.
I know what the problem is. The Pioneer works with an PARROT blue-tooth hands-free equipment. The latest software update is the 3.30 and this update did not support the N97, because the N97 is one of the first mobile phones of Nokia with symbian OS5. The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is also not supported to the Pioneer.

You can find these updates on the pioneer homepage at the support. The 3.30 update was released in June09 and i hope that next time will come a new update.

I hope i could help with these bad news.

Sorry for my bad English.

Thanks for the reply...Thought so, I'll tried also the 3.30 update and it have the same problem. Guess I have to wait for the next pioneer bt update...

Good news.

Yesterday, Nokia released the NEW firmware for the Nokia N97, called V20.0.019. I immediately have installed it on my N97. I also made a hardreset and formated the mass storage. Because there are so much problems with other programs on the phone, and the new version did not help to change the problems.
So my N97 is complete new installed.

Today i have tested, if the new software works better with the Pioneer Avic F-900BT, or not. And i am positive surprised. It works fine. The functions (answer a call / stop call / louder / quieter) are slow, BUT they work.

Don't know....updated, but didn't do "hard reset" and the problem is same- phone disconnects from Pioneer during the call...Trying hard reset....

Let me know.

hmmmm

My calls when i am driving are max 1min. I just say "I am driving, i will call back later" ore something else.

i dont have testet a 3min call.

So it also disconnects..... I just thought it works fine..... 😡

If I may venture a guess, my phone is ever in my trouser pocket and back then at the test i saw that if you make a call, the keylock of the phone is OFF 😮.
My guess is that, if the keylock is off the screen could be auto. turn (if setting is on), and if this happens the connection will be lost. ITS JUST A GUESS i will test it today at evening.

What gives me that idea?
At the test it works fine, but the phone was in the "normal" screen position or horizontal and i never changed it between a call at the test.
And if you have the phone in your trouser pocket i think it was in "normal" screen position before you set the keylock. If a call gets in the keylock is on until you press the green button on the screen of the radio. Until this the keylock is OFF and after some seconds the screen turns around.

Sounds very, very, very, very, very,.....crazy, but i will test it.

so i have tested it the last days and NOW is know the problem. I am sure that it is. The problem is not keylock or the screen position.
If you make a call, the navi switches to the naviscreen. If the arrow (you on the map), walks around when you are driving, the connection will be lost. If the arrow stands still on the map, the call works great. Pls test it, if you have the same.

i dont know why, but every time i was driving around the navi has lost the connection. If the car stands still, the call works great, now when i drive around with the car the connection was lost.

I've got the same problem. And having used 5800 xpress with my avic f900bt I've had similar issues. It must be the s60 v5 then. Are you all using v3 on pioneer firmware?

I hardly can think that Pioneer will bother to do a bluetooth update for our Nokias though 😞

Their track record for customer service and support is very bad.

yes, the support is very bad.

I just think that pioneer or parrot did not make any update in future..... when you look into the list of the mobile phones that are compatible, you will see on the top there is the date of the update and it is OVER 1 year ago..... 😡

All my calls I take, are during driving...Sometimes it disconnects, sometimes works grate- few days ago made my ~3 minute call and all worked nice...So, You'll never know...
