I just made my phone really fast!

I was messing about with my phone and realised i had all these silly apps and themes that i downloaded which i don't use, so decided to uninstall them just as a house keeping exercise. But to my amazement just by uninstalling them my phone is suddenly seriously responsive, a real difference. I encourage you to try it, you may be amazed by the results!

"Which" silly apps?

Frankly I don't add themes to my phone.

What do you mean by "fast"--are you talking about the menu-ing?

That's understandable as the phone builds some displays dynamically as you call them them--the "Games" folder for example. With one or two things in it, it responds quickly, but as soon as you have more icons than can be displayed in a single screen it beings to slow to a crawl. This is probably a result of the OS having to visit each application in turn and see what its internal icon is.

I am concerned about applications that install themselves into the root processing stack so that it adds to the overall response within applications.

Background processing is another matter as well.
