Agreed, I was waiting for one of these because at the minute i just wedge it in a hole, but after checking eBay there seem to be some good ones for a fiver, worth a go!

I've had plenty of those cheapies from eBay for various devices and they just don't cut the mustard, IMHO. They either wobble too much or keep falling off the dash.

Because of that, I bought an HH-12 mount and the CR-96 cradle for my N95. Rock solid and sturdy as hell. Best car mount ever, and purchased off eBay for about 25.

I was hoping that Nokia would release a cradle to mount on my existing HH-12 but it looks like a complete new device for the N97. Shame, but I'm having one regardless 😉

You could well be right, but as it was only a fiver, i'll give it a go and report back! The Nokia one does look the prettiest though..

It was also more about a cradle that supported the slide of the N97 which the CR-116 seems to do. The generic models on eBay are either clamps or a clip on device that doesn't seem to lend itself to the nature of the N97.

I'd definitely be interested to hear your thoughts on the one you get though 😊

I've been using a "Brodit Passive Holder With Tilt Swivel" (19.53 from mobilefun.co.uk) for six weeks and it's excellent. Very firm grip on phone and it allows the slider to operate. Only the camera button is obsured (volume, keylock, power, charger socket are still accessible) but that can be operated using an icon in the camera app.

I did not buy the Brodit suction mount, I just customised my old one for the Brodit holder.
