can nayone tell me the facebook process? when i open my task manager facebook does not seem to be there oe anywhere i look. thanks

If you have Facebook configured on the Home Screen, it will appear as a white "f" on a blue field in the list of Open Applications in the Task Manager.

when i open my task manager there is no face book logo or even anything that comes close hense why i needx someone to tell me what it is. I am tryin to set up myphone and need the process with the file extension .exe

There are no .exe extension files in the Symbian OS.

Are you sure you have a genuine Nokia N97 and not some counterfeit running a Windows Mobile OS knockoff?

If you've lost the Facebook .sisx file from your phone, go to the Ovi Store and redownload it for free.

ok 1st up i have facebook fine i need the (non existant) .exe so that i can asign an icon in "myphone" to start the app. Myphone is an iphone UI for s60v5

Also i think you will find that the .sis is the app it still needs and executable file to run like any other program

for example the web explorer on your mobile runs from

"path:Z:\sys\bin\BrowserNG.exe"

10/10 for the imagination aswell i wish i did have something running windows to be honest symbian is buggy

Anyway as far as i can see facebook seems to be running from path:Z:\sys\bin\WidgetUi.exe
this doesntwork though, does anyone else have myphone installed and the facebook icon working? if so can you tell me the name of the executable file?
thanks

Okay, I understand what you're trying to do--please accept my apologies.

To be sure, there were several counterfeit devices (the "Nokla" being the most infamous) that came out and some people were "snookered".

To try and find what you seek, I used X-plore and configured it to show system and hidden files. I then asked it to search the C:, D:, E:, F: and Z: drives for any and all "*.exe" files. None were found.

That doesn't mean that they don't exist--just that X-plore cannot see them.

I suspect that the file you seek exists on the D: drive in the \private directory.

At present I don't know of any applications out there that allow you to browse this hidden and protected drive.

Perhaps if you asked at the Nokia Developers Forum? They may have access to tools to access at that level of security/protection.

I used JbakTaskMan to get the info that i used in the example but facebook just is not there atall? i shall have a look where you said
