N97 Bluetooth Connection Failure

2 replies · 5,712 views · Started 03 September 2009

Ok, so my laptop ( yes, the Macbook Pro with no hash key... ) will happily pair with the N97, and send stuff from the laptop to the phone, it will pair with the phone no problem, and will even allow me to browse the device where I can get and send files.

But it won't work the other way round, I can't get the phone to send anything via Bluetooth to the laptop, which makes me think it's the phone that is at fault.

Anyone else with similar problems / solutions?

When I try to send, it just says 'Unable to connect'

I had similar issues with a PC, with that I had to tell the PC to listen for a file. I right clicked the bluetooth thing in the tray and said "Receive File".

Hope this helps.

Keiran.

Sorted now, thanks Kieran.

Had to look at the Bluetooth settings for receiving files on the laptop

Working like a charm now - don't know why I didn't think of that before...
