N97 keyboard dentage of doom!

5 replies · 3,130 views · Started 03 September 2009

Hi all! This be my first post on here, although i should have joined 4 years ago when i first started using S60 on my trusty N80, and a first on a mobile qwerty thanks to the N97!

The thing is, i was just wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me with regards to the slide-out screen leaving indentations on the keyboard surrounding surface. The two little nubs located under the leading edge of the screen just infront of the hindge mechanism that stops the screen when opened have left two indentations on the keyboard surround just under the letters Z & X and under the space bar. I suspect this is down to the fact that the Nokia carry pouch CP-382 is a snug fit but just wanted to check to see if anyone else had the same issue!

Curse this self harming handset!

Many thanks!

I can see two very faint marks on but near to the shift key and the space key, but to be fair, have to look hard and tilt the phone into the light to make them out.

Unfortunately though, I have fallen victim to the camera lens scratching syndrome, though the scratch is just off centre, so doesn't go through the lens aperture.

Same on mine - fairly easy to see as well.

Can't say I'm too bothered, though; just wear & tear. Lot's more to worry about with this phone...:hmpf:

I have the beginnings of a dent although I saw a picture on the Nokia forums, IIRC, of someones keyboard surround that looked like it had caved in. Perhaps it was the picture that exaggerated the effect but it looked bad.

caved in?! Shocking! Oh well, spose your right, more important things to worry about like that dodgey lense!
