The N97 data cable is so long, that finally the inevitable has happened. Whilst I always tried to keep the end off the floor, I failed to do so after last usage, and I must have trodden on it in the mean time. Trying to use it today failed, and I can see why, the connector is slightly bent.
I purchased my phone from Vodafone and I doubt they carry supplies of these - so if someone can recommend a reputable supplier of same I shall go and purchase one.

It's just a USB to microusb cable. Any one will do. I'm sure �3 on ebay will get you one.
I bought a BlackBerry branded microUSB cable from Vodafone to use with my PC at work and I can't fault it, and it's even a little shorter than the Nokia one so you don't need to worry about it being too long.
Cost a fiver mind, but I feel better buying one from a reputable retailer than from someone random in Hong Kong.
