I got my N97 at the start of July and a few weeks ago sent it off due to 'the' GPS issue, I've now got a replacement and GPS is super 😉

My wife and three best friends have little pictures on my homescreen for messaging and calls.

I've got eight application shortcuts and they don't have to include Calendar, Clock (alarm) and Contacts because they have their own homescreen shortcuts already.

My home screen also contains upcoming calendar entries and my musc player with the current podcast shown.

...and I wasn't even trying!

When I sent my first N97 back for a replacement I put my sim in my N95 thinking I'd enjoy using it again...I didn't. I was glad when the new N97 arrived, bugs and all.

The lens on my first phone got scratched and I did not think anything of it until a few photos with flash contained glare. I've been more careful with the new one and I might carry out a bit of "prevention is better than cure" maintenance soon.

The photos and video on the N95 are still better quality but it's very early days and I know that it was 18 months before I was happy to use the N95's camera for holiday photos.

Roll on firmware v2 and all future releases, I expect to keep my N97 for the forseeable future.

P.S.
LOL! I have my phone set up to automatically activate the FM Transmitter when I play music and audiobooks as I only listen to them in the car. When I did the screen capture just, Screen Snap played its camera shutter noise and the FM Transmitter activated! Things like that make me smile, it reminds you that the software is written by humans.

P.P.S.
Naughty Screen Snap! It shouldn't be making a noise with the silent profile activated.

hellow, when you activate your fm transmitter, do you have to manually turn it on?

or it turns on when activated by your music?

I manually run the FM Transmitter application after switching on my phone, after that I don't close the app.
The transmission deactivates itself after one minute of silence but the app remains in background. As soon
as the phone plays music again the FM transmission automatically activates.
